April started with a bang for Glasgow, as the first of more than 40 official Commonwealth Games 2014 merchandise stores opened – this time at the city’s Central Station.

IVC Signs were appointed the official signage supplier for the 2014 Games, and were given the brief to manufacture and install high quality graphics for the kiosk – all in just 48 hours.
Our factory team worked through the night, as did our installation crew, to make sure we hit our client’s tight deadline. We manufactured and installed the signage right on time, returning on the day of the launch to watch as Commonwealth Games 2014 athletes and bosses – as well as mascot Clyde! – cut the ribbon, and officially opened the 2014 Games first brand new kiosk.

By being based in such a prime location, in Glasgow’s Central Station, the shop will reach a footfall of around 750,000 people every week, and will open up jobs for hundreds of temporary staff in the city. The kiosk is selling official merchandise for this summer’s Glasgow Commonwealth Games, which are due to take place from 23rd July – 3rd August.
